The Yard Hand will be responsible for maintaining the yard area, assisting with loading and unloading materials, and supporting daily operations to ensure a safe and efficient work environment. Key Responsibilities Assist with loading and unloading trucks and trailers safely and efficiently. Organize and maintain the yard, ensuring materials and equipment are stored properly. Operate yard equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand tools as needed. Perform routine inspections and report any safety hazards or maintenance needs. Support team members with various tasks to facilitate smooth yard operations. Follow all company safety policies and procedures at all times. Keep the yard clean and free of debris to maintain a safe working environment. Qualifications Previous experience in a yard hand, warehouse, or similar role preferred. Ability to operate yard equipment safely (forklift certification is a plus). Strong work ethic and ability to perform physical labor in various weather conditions. Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment. Reliable and punctual with a commitment to safety. High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Work Environment This position requires working outdoors in all weather conditions and performing physically demanding tasks. Safety gear and training will be provided to ensure a safe workplace.
