The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently across various routes. This role requires a commitment to safety, adherence to traffic laws, and the ability to manage time effectively while ensuring timely deliveries. The hours would be 6pm-7am. Duties Operate and drive a tractor-trailer or tanker truck to transport freight to designated locations. Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of goods during transit. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, routes, and deliveries in accordance with company policies and DOT regulations. Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding delivery schedules, road conditions, and any issues that may arise during transit. Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the truck, including performing minor repairs as needed. Adhere to all safety protocols while driving, including the use of seat belts and following speed limits. Skills Proven experience in truck driving a minimum of 5 Years Strong understanding of commercial driving regulations and practices. Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles efficiently. Experience with loading and unloading freight safely and effectively. Excellent navigation skills with the ability to read maps and use GPS systems. Strong time management skills to ensure timely deliveries while adhering to schedules. Good communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients.
