Local Route Driver

The Route Driver contributes to the overall goal of the company to provide exceptional service and maintain the highest level of confidentiality. Route drivers are in charge of meeting their schedule, taking action when needed to communicate customer concerns and problems, and representing the company in a professional, positive manner in all customer interactions. Duties and Responsibilities Ability to safely drive a 26' box truck on a route Ability to maintain a route log to document all route stops with detail and accuracy Completes a daily truck inspection/checklist Transports documents from customer location to truck for destruction Interacts and communicates with customers with the highest degree of professionalism Safely and efficiently operates plant-based shredding equipment Performs basic truck maintenance Complete all routes on schedule with accuracy Complies with all company standards and DOT requirements Follow company safety policies and procedures and encourages other employees to do the same Safely operates forklift and other equipment in order to complete tasks Works cooperatively and productively with Supervisors and co-workers in order to complete tasks Maintain the highest degree of security and control of customers' confidential material presented for destruction at all times Ability to maintain all DOT required licenses and documentation Other duties as assigned to include warehouse support when required
