Up to $2,000 annually for safe driving performance Maine Oxy is immediately hiring for a Class A Driver with a Hazmat Endorsement position based in Baytown, TX. Our Class A Driver (w/Hazmat) will deliver Helium compressed gas cylinders to customers on scheduled route, returning with empty cylinders. A typical work week is Monday through Friday, with overtime opportunities (including weekends) during peak season (January through June). This position will typically have overnights 3-4 nights per week, depending on the delivery area being covered. What You'll Do Safely deliver helium cylinders to established customers Load/unload cylinders and return empties to the fill plant Perform daily vehicle safety inspections Complete delivery paperwork and maintain DOT compliance Build relationships with repeat customers and help manage their inventory needs
Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent. 1 year driving experience or driving school training in the past 4 years. CDL A License with HazMat.

Understand highway traffic signs and signals in the English language to respond to official inquiries, and to make entries on reports and records. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to see, speak and hear. Must be able to drive hazardous cargo for up to 8 hours; Frequent bending is also required. Frequently sitting and standing, walking, using hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; may stoop, kneel, or crouch. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Ability to perform very heavy work—routinely lift 25lbs to 75lbs and occasionally lift 76lbs to greater than 100lbs. You must be able to work outdoors in temperatures ranging from -10 to over 100 degrees. Ability to smell/hear leaking gas from cylinders.
