We're currently hiring a skilled Shop Hand/Apprentice to support our in-shop operations. This full-time role will perform multiple duties to assist all divisions with labor at shop and yard locations - including loading/ unloading equipment, freight and assisting crews with servicing and maintenance of tools, equipment, shop and yard, etc - with a strong focus on safety and precision. Key Responsibilities (including but not limited to) Maintain communication with Supervisor, Dispatch and Safety Complete all required documentation fully and submit within required timeframe Answer your phone at any time while on designated shift (on call) Be fit for duty (not impaired, limit fatigue) Use yard loader to load/ unload equipment/ materials/ freight Use yard loader to move equipment around yard, in and out of shop Use shop crane to assist in heavy lifting items Maintain yard and shop housekeeping via sweeping, washing, grading, snow removal etc. Ensure garbage and refuse bins are emptied regularly Report missing or damaged tools to supervisor for replacement Perform pre-use inspections on all tools, equipment and vehicles before use Report all hazards, near misses and incidents to your supervisor Actively participate in safety initiatives Inspect, use and maintain PPE assigned or given to you Refuse to perform any task you have not been trained to do Assist other divisions as required, centrifuge or well-site with yard labor needs Follow company policies, procedures and practices What We're Looking For Work well alone or with others Excellent attention to detail Excellent communication skills Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Experience with using hand tools Basic understanding of oilfield equip.
