In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely operating various types of trucks to deliver freight efficiently across designated routes. Your expertise in driving and handling different trailer types will ensure timely deliveries while maintaining the highest safety standards. Duties Safely operate tractor-trailers, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, and other freight vehicles Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment such as forklifts when necessary Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations Plan and follow optimal delivery routes, ensuring timely arrivals at each destination Secure freight properly to prevent damage during transit and handle various types of cargo with care Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, deliveries, and vehicle maintenance records in accordance with regulatory standards Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members to coordinate deliveries and resolve issues promptly Qualifications Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with endorsements suitable for operating tractor-trailers and specialized vehicles such as refrigerated trailers or tankers Proven experience in truck driving, including route driving and delivery operations Skilled in manual transmission operation and handling different trailer types like flatbeds or roll-off trucks Knowledge of safety procedures related to freight handling, load securement, and vehicle maintenance Ability to perform physical tasks such as loading/unloading cargo and inspecting equipment Familiarity with forklift operation is a plus for loading activities Strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and customer service excellence Join our team and drive your career forward!
