In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating roll-off trucks to transport and dispose of waste, recyclables, or other freight efficiently across designated routes. Your expertise in truck driving and familiarity with various trailer types will ensure timely deliveries and pickups, maintaining the highest standards of safety and customer service. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be a vital part of our logistics operations, contributing to environmental sustainability and community service. Responsibilities Safely operate roll-off trucks and tractor-trailers, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and dump trucks, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations. Load, secure, transport, and unload freight, debris, or recyclable materials at various locations along assigned routes. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and trailers to identify maintenance needs or safety issues. Route driving efficiently to meet delivery schedules while adhering to traffic laws and company policies. Assist with loading and unloading cargo using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or manual methods when necessary. Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, pickups, mileage logs, and inspection reports. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate schedules and resolve any issues promptly. Requirements Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record. Experience operating various truck types including tractor-trailers, dump trucks, flatbeds, tankers, or refrigerated trailers. Proficiency in manual transmission vehicles is preferred. Knowledge of freight handling procedures such as load & unload operations and securing cargo properly. Ability to drive route trucks confidently over diverse terrains while maintaining safety standards. Familiarity with forklift operation is a plus for loading/unloading tasks. Strong attention to detail for vehicle inspections and documentation accuracy. Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members and customers effectively.
