The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and customer service. Duties Safely operate and drive tractor-trailers Load and unload cargo using forklifts or manual handling techniques as needed. Ensure that all cargo is secured properly before transport. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety compliance. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, mileage, and fuel consumption as required by regulations. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise. Adhere to all local, state, and federal transportation regulations. Provide excellent customer service during deliveries by being professional and courteous. Requirements Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) Strong understanding of load unloading procedures and safety protocols. Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines. Ability to pass background checks and drug screenings as required by company policy. Strong communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
