Job Description
CDL Driver Join our team as a Delivery Specialist, where you will play a crucial role in ensuring the prompt, safe, and professional delivery of building materials to our valued customers. In addition to driving duties, this versatile position involves various yard responsibilities, providing an exciting opportunity for those who enjoy diverse, hands-on work. What you'll do:
Driving Excellence:
Operate all vehicles in a safe, efficient, and courteous manner. Ensure compliance with safety standards through regular vehicle inspections.Order Accuracy:
Carefully verify and load orders onto customer and company vehicles, maintaining high accuracy to meet customer satisfaction.Dynamic Yard Support:
Engage in loading, unloading, stocking, and organizing merchandise, using equipment such as hand trucks and forklifts. Ensure all materials are secured properly to prevent damage.Documentation and Reporting:
Complete all necessary paperwork in alignment with company policies. Report any equipment maintenance or safety issues to your supervisor daily.Incident Reporting:
Take immediate action by reporting all yard accidents, no matter how minor, and ensure all necessary information is documented and submitted.Additional Duties:
Be ready to take on various additional tasks as needed to support team objectives and enhance operational efficiency. What you'll bring:Education:
CDL License -Class B Experience:
Prior experience in a similar role is an advantage.Skills & Abilities:
Proficient in operating hand trucks, forklifts, semi-trailers, and straight trucks. Strong industry experience and knowledge of building materials preferred. Exceptional attention to detail and a strong focus on customer service. Highly safety-conscious with a proactive approach to workplace safety.
