Job Description

Driver Requirements:
1.
HOURLY RATE OF
PAY, not per Mile 2. Must be at least 21 years of age 3. Minimum of 3 to 5 years tractor-trailer experience, Possess a valid commercial driver's license. 4. Safe driving record, Over the road Mon-Fri guaranteed home time Fri, Sat, Sun evening. 5. Must have the ability to read, write, speak English and perform simple general mental abilities to handle receipts, read maps, road signs, maintain logs, etc.
Driver Responsibilities:
Safely transporting freight between various locations Performing truck inspections before and after each trip to ensure that all mechanical systems are in good working order Carefully planning routes to ensure that deliveries are completed in a timely manner Maintaining the company truck, which includes washing and cleaning it, changing fluids, monitoring tire pressure, and performing minor repairs as needed Maintaining a E-Logs detailing the hours traveled, rest periods, miles covered, as well as all fuel, repair, and toll expenses Promptly reporting any traffic violations, road accidents, and vehicle breakdowns to management Notifying the dispatcher and customer of any delay that may affect scheduled delivery times Assisting in the loading and unloading of freight into and off the company truck Able to secure the freight according to its size, weight, and product. Obtaining customers signatures upon completion of each delivery Ensuring that the freight is properly secured for transport and notifying management of any freight damage sustained during transportation Berridge Manufacturing Company offers a competitive pay, 401K, medical/dental insurance, vacation, holiday, and sick pay. This position is a full-time position, Monday-Friday. Home every weekend!
