Job Description

Trafalgar Homes of Texas, LLC Job Summary We are seeking a reliable, safety-conscious Class A CDL Driver. In this role, you will operate a 3/4-ton or 1-ton truck pulling a gooseneck flatbed trailer. Your primary responsibility will be hauling, loading, and unloading roll-off containers filled with construction debris within our regional intrastate routes to support our multifamily job sites. This position utilizes a trailer-mounted winch system for loading and requires a driver who is highly skilled in cargo securement, tarping, and navigating active, tight construction sites. Pay & Schedule Pay Rate:
~$20.00 per hour (dependent on experience)
Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00
PM Route:
Regional/ Intrastate (Home every night)
Duties and Responsibilities Safe Operations:
Safely operate a 3/4 or 1-ton truck and gooseneck flatbed combination.
Winch Loading:
Use a trailer-mounted winch to safely load and unload empty and fully-loaded roll-off containers.
Load Securement:
Properly chain, strap, and meticulously tarp construction debris to ensure zero road hazards and total load containment.
Weight Management:
Inspect loads and position containers correctly on the gooseneck trailer to balance tongue and axle weights accurately.
Site Maneuvering:
Confidently navigate and back trailers into tight, unpaved, or highly active construction zones.
Equipment Care:
Perform thorough daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections, closely monitoring winch cables, hitches, and truck fluid/transmission temperatures.
Construction Services:
Additional duties may include assisting with general labor, clean up and support tasks as well as operating equipment at job sites.
Qualifications and Skills License:
Active, valid Class A CDL ( Required ).
Experience:
Minimum of 1-2 years of commercial driving experience ( Required ). Experience towing and backing with gooseneck trailers is highly preferred.
Driving Record:
Clean 5-Year History Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no recent major violations.
Technical Skill:
Proven experience operating heavy-duty truck winches and managing cable tension safely.
Physical Capability:
Ability to handle heavy tarping, strapping, and chaining in various weather conditions, lift 50+ lbs and perform physical labor in outdoor conditions.
Communication:
Strong professionalism when interacting with job site foremen and dispatch.
