Job Description
Role:
The Driver is responsible for the safe, accurate, and timely delivery of products while providing excellent customer service and representing the company professionally. This role supports warehouse operations by loading and unloading materials, ensuring vehicle safety and compliance, and verifying that all deliveries meet company and regulatory standards. The Driver works closely with customers, warehouse personnel, and supervisors, and is expected to operate with reliability, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety and the company's core values.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensure a high level of customer service is always provided Build positive customer relationships and communicate feedback or product information when appropriate. Prepare the truck for operation by assisting in and overseeing the loading of trucks, securing items, and verifying the accuracy of shipping papers Deliver orders via the most effective route and ensure complete orders that are delivered in established time frames Unload products in a neat and orderly manner with or without the assistance of the customer Document delivery, accuracy, and receipt of orders by the customer; report any discrepancies Maintain communication with the company during deliveries to ensure any updated instructions are received Complete vehicle inspections: inspect truck tires, lights, brakes, fluid, etc. to ensure safe and cost-effective! performance with preventive maintenance in mind Maintain a safe driving record that is free of violations Comply with DOT and OSHA Requirements Operate the forklift to move, unload, or hoist all inbound and outbound shipments from all the trucks Inspect, accept, or reject shipments received from vendors Maintain a general understanding of products Maintain and monitor the truck maintenance and driving records Maintain and organize required truck paperwork, including insurance card, registration, and safety and emissions documentation Perform other various duties, as outlined by the supervisor Exude, understand, and demonstrate actions according to the Company's core values. High school diploma or equivalent Willingness to participate in pre-employment and random drug screenings Minimum of 6 months' experience driving a medium-sized truck (under 3 tons, typically 4 wheels) Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs. Ability to drive and maintain alertness for long periods of time Ability to work in excessively hot and cold conditions due to the outside environment of various duties Could be required to drive a Pickup or Cabover vehicle Wear a safety vest when applicable OSHA regulatedSteel Toe Shoes:
