Physical Certification Cleaning Shipping documentation Full Job Description Job Purpose The Regional Driver is responsible for the safe, efficient, and timely transportation of freight while ensuring exceptional customer service and full compliance with all applicable federal, state, and company regulations. This position plays a critical role in maintaining the integrity of the supply chain by delivering freight safely, protecting company assets, and representing Interwest Transportation with professionalism and integrity. The Regional Driver is expected to operate commercial vehicles responsibly, maintain accurate documentation, and contribute to the company's commitment to safety, reliability, and operational excellence. Duties and Responsibilities The Regional Driver is responsible for, but not limited to, the following: Safely operate a commercial motor vehicle in accordance with DOT and FMCSA regulations. Transport customer freight to designated pickup and delivery locations throughout the assigned regional territory. Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of equipment. Complete and maintain accurate electronic logs (ELDs) and required shipping documentation. Secure cargo using proper load securement techniques and verify load integrity throughout transport. Perform basic vehicle inspections and report maintenance concerns promptly. Maintain compliance with Hours of Service (HOS) regulations. Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding delays, route changes, accidents, or mechanical issues. Deliver freight in a professional and courteous manner while providing excellent customer service. Verify bills of lading, manifests, and delivery paperwork for accuracy. Obtain required signatures and documentation upon delivery. Utilize company-approved technology for communication, routing, and reporting. Fuel equipment using approved company fueling procedures. Keep assigned equipment clean and in safe operating condition. Follow all company safety policies and procedures. Report accidents, injuries, citations, or cargo damage immediately. Assist with loading and unloading when required. Perform other duties as assigned. Working Conditions Regional travel throughout the Intermountain West. Variable work hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as operationally required. Regular regional travel, including being away from home for multiple days and utilizing the sleeper berth for required rest periods in accordance with applicable regulations. Exposure to outdoor weather conditions, traffic, warehouses, loading docks, and customer facilities. Minimum Qualifications Valid Class A CDL. Current DOT medical certification. Minimum 1 year of recent relevant driving experience. Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
Pay:
$1,200.00 - $1,500.00 per week
