Duties Safely operate rear loader trash trucks and other heavy-duty vehicles such as front loader, roll-off, dump trucks, tractor-trailers, and flatbeds to collect waste from designated routes. Load and unload refuse containers efficiently while adhering to safety protocols and environmental standards. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks to ensure mechanical soundness and compliance with safety regulations. Navigate city streets and neighborhoods confidently, following assigned routes with precision and timeliness. Assist with manual lifting of heavy refuse containers, demonstrating physical strength and proper lifting techniques. Maintain accurate records of pickups, route completion times, and any incidents or equipment issues. Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to report operational concerns or safety hazards promptly. We work in all weather conditions Qualifications Proven experience in commercial driving, especially with heavy-duty trucks such as rear loader, front loader, roll-off, dump trucks, or tractor-trailers. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; non CDL trucks for rear load and CDL for front load Strong mechanical knowledge to perform basic truck inspections and troubleshoot minor issues. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently throughout the workday. Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles is advantageous. Prior experience in delivery or waste collection driving is highly desirable. Knowledge of load & unload procedures for various types of refuse containers and flatbed transport is a plus. $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
