Job Description
Overview We are seeking a reliable and experienced Driver to join our team. This role involves operating various types of commercial vehicles to ensure the safe and timely delivery of freight across designated routes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong driving record, familiarity with different truck types, and the ability to handle load and unload tasks efficiently. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for driving and logistics to contribute to a dynamic transportation operation. Duties Safely operate trucks with manual transmissions, including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, refrigerated trailers, tanker trucks, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, and other freight vehicles. Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment such as forklifts when necessary. Deliver freight to various locations following assigned routes while adhering to all safety and traffic regulations. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance. Maintain accurate delivery documentation and communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery status. Assist with securing loads and ensuring cargo is properly balanced and secured for transit. Follow all company policies related to driving hours, safety procedures, and vehicle maintenance. Skills Proven experience in commercial driving, including route driving and delivery operations. Ability to operate vehicles with manual transmissions confidently. Experience driving specialized trucks such as refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tanker trucks, dump trucks, or roll-off trucks is preferred. Familiarity with forklift operation for loading/unloading cargo is a plus. Strong knowledge of freight handling, load securing, and safety protocols. Excellent navigation skills with the ability to plan efficient routes. Good communication skills for coordinating deliveries and reporting issues. Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) appropriate for the vehicle type being operated. Prior experience in truck driving or related roles such as delivery driver is highly desirable. This position is essential for maintaining efficient logistics operations and ensuring customer satisfaction through reliable freight delivery services.
