Job Description

Rocktown Transport LLC is hiring CDL A Local Live Haul Drivers in Harrisonburg, VA . Drivers will be hauling live poultry from local poultry farms to a processing plant. Drivers will be safely delivering 3-4 loads per day. Rocktown Transport LLC is a family-owned contract carrier based in the Shenandoah Valley, specializing in the transportation of agricultural commodities including live poultry, bulk feed, and related ingredients. We proudly partner with customers ranging from individual family farms to large corporate poultry companies and cooperatives. Rocktown Transport offers the best of both worlds-small enough to value and care for our employees, yet large enough to deliver reliable, high-quality service to our customers.
Compensation Average weekly pay:
$1,500 - $2,000 Paid per load, 3-4 loads per day Average hours weekly: 50-60
Bonuses:
Sign on bonus: $1,500 paid after 45 days employed Driver referral bonus: $1,500 paid after 30 days, $500 paid after 120 days Annual holiday bonus Paid via direct deposit bi-weekly Benefits & Perks Great company benefits starting 1 st of the month following 60 days employed: Medical, dental, and vision insurance Disability, and critical care insurance 401K with 4% company match starting after 1 year employed 6 Paid company holidays 5 Paid vacation days starting after 1 year employed Paid training and paid orientation Home Time, Route, & Schedule Home time: Home daily

Drivers are required to secure cages using straps and levers Equipment Late model Peterbilt and Kenworth Trucks Manual transmission Inward & outward facing cameras Qualifications Must be at least 21 years of age Must have CDL A license Must have a minimum of 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience Previous live haul experience preferred Must be able to operate a manual transmission Must meet Department of Transportation (DOT) testing and physical requirements and be knowledgeable of DOT regulations Must be able to pass a required pre-employment drug screen
