In this energetic role, you will be responsible for safely towing, transporting, and recovering vehicles of all types, ensuring prompt and professional service to our customers. Your mechanical expertise and driving skills will help keep traffic moving smoothly while providing exceptional customer support. Duties Operate tow trucks, including flatbed and traditional models, to recover disabled vehicles efficiently and safely Conduct automotive diagnostics and basic repairs to assess vehicle condition before towing Load, unload, and secure vehicles using appropriate equipment such as straps, chains, etc to prevent damage during transport Communicate effectively with customers, dispatchers, and law enforcement to coordinate vehicle recovery operations Manage conflict situations professionally when dealing with distressed or impatient customers Perform routine inspections of tow truck equipment and perform minor mechanical maintenance as needed Maintain accurate logs of all towing activities, including details of the vehicle condition, location, and services provided Requirements Valid VA Tow License (Tow Truck Driver Registration / DAD) with a clean driving record and experience operating tow trucks or similar commercial vehicles Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in automotive diagnostics and repairs Ability to operate manual transmissions confidently in various weather conditions Prior experience with automotive repair, flatbed towing, or mechanic work is highly desirable Knowledge of automotive safety standards and proper load securing techniques Excellent customer service skills with a calm demeanor in stressful situations Physical ability to load/unload, working nights, weekends, comfort working outdoors in varying weather conditions Proven conflict management skills to handle challenging interactions professionally Join us to deliver reliable roadside assistance while advancing your skills in automotive mechanics and commercial driving.
