Job description:
AMERI-CANS
is seeking a Senior Driver to serve as a field leader within our growing operations team. This role bridges frontline service execution and operational consistency, supporting route efficiency, driver performance, and service excellence. The Senior Driver serves as the primary liaison between Drivers and leadership, ensuring smooth daily operations while continuing to perform assigned service routes. Senior Drivers are experienced, dependable professionals who lead by example and consistently demonstrate strong performance, safety, teamwork, and sound decision-making. Our team holds the highest standards of performance, integrity, and customer service, and we are looking for a proven professional ready to lead at a high level on Day 1. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Complete assigned service routes, including servicing, cleaning, and stocking portable sanitation equipment Perform daily vehicle inspections and routine truck maintenance Serve as the primary field liaison between Drivers and leadership Support daily route coordination, adjustments, and real-time service decisions Monitor route progress and assist drivers with service or schedule challenges Promote service quality by conducting field-level quality checks Mentor and support drivers to ensure safety, efficiency, and customer service standards Assist with onboarding and hands-on training of new drivers Support route optimization and operational efficiency efforts Coordinate equipment resupply to ensure uninterrupted service Oversee routine vehicle and equipment maintenance performed by drivers Lead field logistics for special events and large-scale service operations Communicate operational updates, issues, and improvement opportunities to leadership Maintain professional customer interactions and represent

Requirements:
Must hold a valid U.S. Commercial Driver's License (Class A or B). Drivers with a non-U.S. permanent residence must meet the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) eligibility requirements effective September 29, 2025. We are seeking drivers with Tanker Endorsement We are seeking drivers without the "E" restriction (No Manual Transmission Equipped Commercial Motor Vehicle) High school diploma or equivalent. Valid driver's license with a clean and safe driving record. Strong knowledge of traffic and safety regulations, including rest and mileage limits. Must be physically fit and able to pass a DOT physical exam every two years. Must pass a background check. Must have authorization to work in the United States. Some job sites may require U.S. citizenship and a clean criminal history for access.
Abilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed represent the knowledge, skill, and ability required. The position requires the ability to sit or stand for long periods; move fingers and hands; stoop, crawl, bend, twist, reach, and crouch. Must be able to perform essential duties with minimal or no supervision. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and drag up to 185 lbs.
