Job Description
Job Summary Moana marine are seeking a motivated and dependable Driver to join our dynamic logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely transporting freight, equipment, and materials to various destinations while ensuring timely deliveries and excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, a keen attention to safety protocols, and the ability to handle different types of cargo, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and other specialized trucks. Duties Operate a variety of commercial trucks, including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tankers, refrigerated trailers, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, and other specialized vehicles with manual transmissions. Safely load and unload freight using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or manual methods, ensuring cargo integrity and security. Follow designated routes efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles to identify maintenance issues or safety concerns before departure. Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and vehicle inspection records throughout each shift. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate pickups and deliveries while providing exceptional service. Assist with securing loads on different types of trucks and ensure proper weight distribution for safe transport. Qualifications Proven experience in truck driving or delivery roles, especially with tractor-trailers or commercial vehicles. Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with endorsements relevant to the vehicle type (e.g., tanker, flatbed). Proficiency in operating manual transmission trucks and handling various freight types such as refrigerated goods or heavy equipment. Knowledge of safety standards related to freight handling, route driving, and vehicle maintenance. Ability to load & unload cargo efficiently using forklifts or manual methods when necessary. Strong understanding of transportation regulations and compliance requirements for commercial driving. Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to safety and customer service.
