Box Truck Driver

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and dependable Box Truck Driver to join our dynamic transportation team! In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating a 24 ft box truck and or a 26 ft stake body truck to deliver goods and materials to various destinations, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries. Responsibilities Safely operate a box truck for local deliveries, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations Load and unload cargo using manual lifting techniques of weights up to 50 lbs, pallet jacks, or forklifts as needed Ensure accurate documentation of deliveries, including verifying shipment details and obtaining necessary signatures Plan efficient delivery routes to optimize time and fuel consumption while meeting delivery deadlines Provide excellent customer service by communicating professionally with clients during drop-offs and pickups Conduct routine (daily inspections a must) vehicle inspections, report any maintenance issues, and maintain cleanliness of the truck Non smoking Days of operation are M-F and vary on average from 3-6 hrs per day Requirements Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience driving a commercial driver or courier vehicle preferred Proven delivery driver experience with familiarity in route driving and heavy lifting at times (not the normal) Ability to operate automatic transmission and lift gates Warehouse experience including loading, unloading, and moving goods using pallet jacks Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude, neat appearance and a professional demeanor Knowledge of safety procedures related to commercial driving, heavy lifting (not the normal), and warehouse operations No
