Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and dependable Driver/Hauler to run routes in Chittenden County. The successful candidate will have the ability to safely operate a box truck and gather solid waste and recyclables along the designated route. This role is physically intensive and will require regular lifting of trash bags and bins. Some assistance with truck maintenance may be required, such as bringing the truck in for service. The normal schedule is Monday-Thursday, with occasional additional runs needed, start time is flexible, between 7:30am and 8:30am. Typically, the role is 36 hours/week. Hours may vary depending upon daily routes. Qualifications Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Experience operating box trucks, forklifts, pallet jacks, or similar equipment is highly desirable. Ability to lift heavy loads safely and efficiently during loading/unloading processes. Knowledge of traffic laws, safety protocols, and proper vehicle maintenance routines. Excellent communication skills with a positive attitude; able to handle multiple stops confidently.
