Job Description
Band IX CDL Class A Driver, VT Operations Pay Range:
$29.20-$34.90 per hour We have an opening for a CDL Class A Driver for VT Operations. Drivers must be able to create and maintain great relationships with shipping and receiving personnel at the customer's location. Drivers are responsible for safe, on-time deliveries, and timely pick-up of back haul supplies and materials. Candidates must possess a clean CDL-A. Most of the routes are local, and overnight layovers are rare- drivers are home most evenings.POSITION SUMMARY
Key Responsibilities Adhere to all company safety programs and requirements. Maintain all required certifications required by DOT and OSHA. Use GPS equipment and keep electronic logs as required. Drive distances sometimes spanning several states, observing all traffic laws and safety regulations. Clean and wash truck/equipment, wash windows inside and out, and top off fuel tanks. Education/Experience:
Class A CDL and five years of over the road driving experience. Current DOT physical card 5 plus years over-the-road driving experience High school diploma or equivalentEssential Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Thorough knowledge of traffic laws, federal and state transport regulations, and defensive driving. Competent driving skills. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, management, customers, and the general public. Ability to communicate effectively.
