In this vital role, you will operate heavy-duty dump trucks and various construction equipment to support large-scale infrastructure projects. Your mechanical knowledge will enable you to perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot equipment issues, ensuring smooth operations on busy construction sites. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, contribute to efficient site development, and grow your skills in a dynamic environment. Duties Safely operate tandem axle and/or tri-axle dump trucks to haul dirt, rock, sand, and aggregate materials and other heavy machinery such as excavators, loaders, backhoes, graders, and dozers to transport materials across construction sites. Assist with excavation, underground utility installation, grading, paving, and site preparation activities. Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on trucks and equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance. Support horizontal drilling operations and tanker duties as needed for utility installation projects. Collaborate with site supervisors and team members to coordinate material deliveries and ensure project timelines are met. Follow all safety protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), to maintain a safe work environment. Maintain accurate logs of daily operations, equipment usage, and safety checks. Requirements Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record Current Medical Card (or ability to obtain) Proven experience operating dump trucks in construction or utility environments. Mechanical knowledge of heavy equipment such as excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, water trucks, and horizontal drilling machinery. Hands-on experience working on construction sites with underground utilities or infrastructure projects. Ability to perform maintenance tasks on heavy machinery and troubleshoot mechanical issues. Familiarity with Caterpillar equipment or similar brands is preferred. Strong understanding of safety standards related to heavy equipment operation and construction sites. Physical ability to perform manual tasks including loading/unloading materials and working in outdoor conditions.
