Key Responsibilities Port & Intermodal Transport:
Safely operate Class A tractor-trailers to transport, deliver, and pick up containerized freight from commercial ports, rail yards, and logistics hubs.Secure Access Compliance:
Navigate port terminals efficiently, adhering to all maritime security regulations and port-specific safety protocols.Chassis & Container Management:
Safely hook/unhook tractors to intermodal chassis, verify container numbers, and ensure seals are intact and match paperwork.Documentation:
Maintain accurate driver logs (ELD), delivery receipts, and Equipment Interchange Receipts (EIR).Vehicle Care:
Conduct thorough pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, ensuring safety compliance for both the tractor and the intermodal equipment.
Requirements TWIC Card Required:
Must possess a valid Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) at the time of application. Must be 21 years of age or older . Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) held for at least 2 consecutive years. Clean driving record (MVR check required). Prior experience hauling containers or operating in port environments is highly preferred. Must pass a background check and pre-employment DOT drug screening (zero-tolerance policy).
