Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and dependable CDL Driver specializing in running materials to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting various building materials, including freight such as flatbed loads, tanker shipments, and refrigerated trailers. Your expertise in commercial driving, route planning, and load handling will ensure timely deliveries while maintaining the highest safety standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be a vital part of our logistics operations, supporting construction projects and material supply chains with energy and precision. Responsibilities Operate tractor-trailers with manual transmissions, ensuring safe handling and compliance with all traffic laws and company policies Drive various types of trucks including flatbed, tanker, refrigerated trailers, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, and other specialized equipment for material delivery Load and unload freight using forklifts or other equipment as needed, ensuring proper securing of loads such as roll-offs or flatbeds Deliver materials to construction sites or distribution centers along designated routes while adhering to scheduled timelines Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety, including checking brakes, lights, tires, and load securement Maintain accurate delivery documentation, logs, and reports for each trip; communicate effectively with dispatch regarding route updates or issues Follow all safety protocols related to driving heavy-duty trucks and handling various types of freight including refrigerated goods or hazardous materials when applicable Qualifications Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with endorsements suitable for operating tractor-trailers and specialized trucks such as flatbeds or tankers Proven experience in truck driving with a focus on freight delivery; previous delivery driver experience preferred Proficiency in operating manual transmission vehicles and familiarity with refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks Ability to load & unload cargo safely using forklifts or other equipment; experience with freight handling is a plus Strong knowledge of route driving practices and safety regulations governing commercial transportation Excellent driving record demonstrating safe driving habits and adherence to traffic laws Physical ability to lift heavy loads when necessary and perform routine vehicle inspections Join our team to drive your career forward—delivering essential materials with energy, professionalism, and a commitment to safety. Pay:
