Position required a Class
A CDL & DOT
Medical Card. Must be able to drive manual truck. Must be a self-starter & be willing to jump in & help when needed. Must be dependable. Must have a clean driving record for insurance purposes. Must be able to pass pre-employment & random drug tests. Must be self-motivated & a team player. Must be able to use a pallet jack, hand cart & forklift. This NIGHT position starts working at 5 pm until approximately 3 am. The driver will pick up two individual trailers that are at two different locations & bring them back to our Spokane dock. The driver will assist in loading freight in one of the trailers. Once freight is loaded, the driver will drive the other truck & trailer to our Missoula MT dock, where you will drop the trailer & hook to another trailer. The driver will then assist the other driver & dock personnel to unload freight that is on the other trailer & reload any freight coming back to Spokane, then return back to Spokane. The driver will drop their trailer at drop location & return to our dock & help the other driver unload freight from that trailer. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy the independence of route driving, this position is perfect for you! Responsibilities Safely operate commercial trucks with manual transmissions. Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment such as forklifts, pallet jack & hand cart. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety and compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. Manage route driving responsibilities with precision, adhering to schedules while maintaining safety on the road. Maintain accurate delivery documentation, logs, and reports for all shipments and vehicle inspections. Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery status, delays, or issues encountered during routes. Qualifications Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with endorsements suitable for operating tractor-trailers and specialized trucks. Proven experience in truck driving, delivery routes, or freight transportation. Proficiency in driving manual transmission vehicles and operating various truck types. Experience with freight handling including load & unload procedures using forklifts or other equipment. Knowledge of safety regulations related to commercial driving, including DOT compliance and hours-of-service rules. Ability to perform vehicle inspections thoroughly and identify maintenance needs proactively. Strong communication skills for coordinating with dispatch teams and customers.
