(Department of Transportation) regulations DOT Physical Certification Flatbed Load securing safety procedures Full Job Description Our company is looking for a professional driver to fill a commercial flatbed driving position. We run Monday through Friday and park in Vancouver Wa. This truck completes one to three overnights and day trips each week. Our deliveries are to customers in the Northwest areas. We have serviced a well established customer base for 26 years.

• $90 to $100k a year is standard.

Some of our experienced drivers achieve the higher yearly income over over 100k. This can be dependent on employees experience, goals, and effort. All of our runs are available to every driver. Not just by seniority.

Job requirements:

• Maintain company records required for compliance with State and Federal regulations including driver's logs, Bols and other records required by law.
• Maintains records and signatures of deliveries required for compensation from our customers.
• Ensure load is properly secured and weight is evenly distributed on flatbed truck and trailers while operating within the legal guidelines of the state and federal DOT.
• This position will be applying simple math for scaling trucks.
• Self motivated person capable of loading and unloading flatbed trailers in the outdoor environments daily.
• Must be able to use a binder/winch bar for lashing down cargo on a flatbed.
• Employee must occasionally be able to physically move up to 50 lbs in a safe manner.
• This position delivers preloaded flatbed loads outbound from Portland/Vancouver area to customer destinations in the Northwest region. Driver reloads and returns to Portland/Vancouver.
• Driver works closely with customers and their vendors.

Qualifications/Requirements of Applicant:

• Applicant must have a verifiable driving experience of at least two years of operating a tractor trailer combination requiring a class "A" CDL. Some exceptions are allowed with one plus years of a class A along with a verifiable graduate from a CDL instructional school.
• We are willing to train drivers for flatbed trailer operations if applicant has a good verifiable past history of class "A" combination commercial driving.
• Must have a driving record available for review.
• Willing to participate in a DOT drug and alcohol program with a pre employment drug screen and back ground check.
• A current, valid DOT medical card
• Driver obtaining a TWIC card is a plus.
