Job Description

With a history dating back over a century, we are dedicated to supporting local residents and businesses through cooperative ownership, offering everything from fuel and agricultural supplies to groceries and hardware. Overview We are seeking a dedicated Fuel Driver to join our team, responsible for safely transporting fuel and related products to our customers across designated routes. This role plays a vital part in ensuring timely deliveries, maintaining safety standards, and supporting the operational efficiency of our energy department. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, attention to safety, and experience with various types of trucks. Responsibilities Safely operate commercial trucks including tractor-trailers, tankers, flatbeds, refrigerated trailers, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, and other specialized vehicles to deliver fuel and freight. Load and unload products efficiently using appropriate equipment such as forklifts when necessary. Follow established routes accurately while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with company policies. Maintain accurate delivery documentation and communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery status or issues. Assist with loading or unloading cargo at delivery sites when required. Support the maintenance of trucks by reporting any mechanical issues promptly. Skills Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with tractor-trailers, tanker trucks, flatbeds, or refrigerated trailers. Strong knowledge of manual transmission operation and truck driving regulations. Experience with load & unload procedures for freight including fuel, agricultural supplies, or similar commodities. Ability to operate forklifts safely when needed for loading or unloading cargo. Familiarity with route driving logistics and delivery driver best practices. Excellent safety awareness and adherence to transportation laws. Strong organizational skills for managing delivery schedules and documentation.
