Job Description

Job Overview Join our team as a Tow Truck Operator and become a vital part of our roadside assistance and vehicle recovery services! In this energetic role, you will be responsible for safely towing and transporting vehicles, providing exceptional customer service, and ensuring efficient operations across various situations. Your mechanical expertise and driving skills will help us deliver prompt, reliable support to drivers in need. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work outdoors, stay active, and develop your automotive repair knowledge while making a tangible difference in our community. We are looking for nightly on call drivers, with some weekend days through out the month. Responsibilities Safely operate tow trucks, including flatbed and traditional tow trucks, to recover and transport vehicles of all types. Perform automotive diagnostics and basic repairs to assess vehicle condition before towing. Load and unload vehicles using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or other lifting devices when necessary. Maintain accurate logs of all towing activities, including details of the vehicle, location, and condition. Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with clients, explaining procedures, and addressing concerns professionally. Manage conflict situations calmly and effectively, ensuring safety for all parties involved. Conduct routine inspections of tow truck equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance. Experience Proven experience operating tow trucks or similar commercial driving vehicles. Mechanical knowledge with hands-on automotive repair experience is highly desirable. Familiarity with automotive diagnostics and manual transmission systems. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; commercial driving license preferred. Experience working with flatbed tow trucks or forklift operation is a plus. Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle stressful situations gracefully. Knowledge of load & unload procedures, conflict management techniques, and safety protocols related to vehicle recovery. $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
