In this energetic role, you'll be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting freight within local routes, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining excellent customer service. Your expertise in truck driving will help keep our operations running smoothly while providing reliable service to our clients. Responsibilities Operate tractor-trailers with manual transmissions, adhering to all safety and traffic regulations. Drive refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and other specialized trucks to deliver freight across designated local routes. Load and unload cargo using forklifts or manual methods, ensuring proper handling of freight such as freight shipments, roll-off trucks, dump trucks, or other materials. Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with DOT standards. Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and delivery records throughout each shift. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate pickups and deliveries while providing exceptional customer service. Follow all company policies regarding load securement, route driving, and safety protocols to ensure safe transportation at all times. Skills Proven experience in truck driving, especially with commercial vehicles such as tractor-trailers or refrigerated trailers. Skilled in operating manual transmission trucks safely and efficiently. Knowledge of various freight types including flatbed loads, tankers, and refrigerated goods. Ability to load & unload freight accurately using forklifts or manual techniques. Familiarity with route driving best practices for timely deliveries within local areas. Strong understanding of DOT regulations and safety standards for commercial driving. Experience with delivery driver responsibilities such as load securement, documentation, and customer interactions. Pay:
$25.00 - $27.00 per hour
