Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Truck Driver and become a vital part of our logistics operation! In this energetic role, you will operate various types of trucks to transport freight efficiently and safely across designated routes. Your expertise will ensure timely deliveries, proper load handling, and adherence to safety standards. We're looking for motivated drivers who thrive on moving goods and delivering exceptional service with enthusiasm and professionalism. Duties Safely operate different types of trucks, including tractor-trailers, refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, and other freight carriers. Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment such as forklifts when necessary, ensuring secure handling of goods. Drive on assigned routes, maintaining punctuality and navigating efficiently to meet delivery schedules. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety, including checking manual transmissions, brakes, lights, tires, and fluid levels. Comply with all federal, state, and local transportation regulations while maintaining accurate logs of driving hours and deliveries. Manage various freight types—perishable goods in refrigerated trailers, heavy loads on flatbeds, liquid cargo in tankers—adapting driving techniques accordingly. Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding route changes, delivery status, or vehicle issues to ensure smooth operations. Requirements Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with endorsements relevant to the truck types operated (e.g., tanker, flatbed). Proven experience in truck driving with a focus on freight delivery; previous delivery driver experience is highly valued. Proficiency in operating manual transmission vehicles; familiarity with tractor-trailers preferred. Ability to load & unload freight safely and efficiently using equipment such as forklifts or roll-off trucks when necessary. Knowledge of route driving best practices and safety protocols for transporting various cargo types. Strong attention to detail for vehicle inspections and documentation accuracy.
