Job Description

This is a full-time position and an exciting opportunity for someone interested in having a direct impact on safety and efficiency of travel within the Town of Marana. Expected Hiring Range:
$26.74 - $32.76/hourly Placement within the expected hiring range is dependent on direct experience, internal equity and/or budget.
Salary Range:
$26.74 - $38.78/hourly Performs maintenance, repairs and upgrades of traffic signals, street/parking lot lights, and associated equipment/supplies; sets up lane closure for operating machinery; removes and replaces defective equipment; and observes. Reviews traffic operations. Provides electrical/communication installation, maintenance and connectivity between traffic signals and other related devices/equipment; programs controllers, detection systems and pre-emption equipment. Maintains data, work orders, daily logs, and records of traffic signals operations; reviews and approves materials and equipment submittals. Provide and request Blue Stake. Install new poles, cabinets, and pull boxes. Associate's degree from an accredited college or university. Five or more years of experience in a related field. IMSA Traffic Signal Technician Levell III or equivalent within 12 months of hire. An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience that provides the desired knowledge, skills & abilities to successfully perform essential functions may be considered.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Valid Arizona Driver License. Must complete a pre-employment physical and pass a 50-pound lift test. Must complete both the Town of Marana background check and a motor vehicle records check.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Associate's degree in an industrial and/or electrical systems technology or related field. Five or more years of experience in traffic signal construction and maintenance.
