WHAT YOU'LL DO
Locate underground cable and cable faults Read meters and perform routine meter reconnects and disconnects Assist with bill collection activities Maintain storeroom organization and assist with inventory tracking and material handling Clear brush, vines, and vegetation around poles and electrical equipment Paint transformers and other equipment as needed Maintain grounds, including grass cutting and general site upkeep Transport materials and equipment to job sites Inspect, test, and number poles and related equipment Flag traffic and support safe work zone operations Assist with inventory management, material requisitions, and work order preparation (as assigned by district) Support operations and member service activities as needed
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
High school diploma or equivalent preferred Basic knowledge of electricity preferred; related coursework is a plus Six months of electrical field and/or warehousing experience preferred Ability to communicate effectively with members and the public Familiarity with basic first aid and CPR Valid Class "A Restricted" driver's license (or equivalent) with required FMCSR testing Ability to complete reports using Microsoft Office and related software Must pass metering evaluation within 30 days of placement Must pass Temporary Traffic Control Manager exam within 90 days of placement
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Outdoor field work in all weather conditions with irregular hours. Requires physical activity including lifting, bending, stooping, and working in varied terrain. Must reside within a 27-mile radius of the reporting location.
