Interviews will take place on Friday, July 17th at the Carlton County Transportation Building Small Conference Room. Carlton County Transportation 1630 Co Rd 61, Carlton, MN 55718 BASIC
FUNCTIONS
Assists with design, survey, construction inspection and traffic services, under the direction of the Assistant Engineer and/or the Highway Technician(s) or Traffic Services Coordinator; performs other job-related duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Uses Computer Aid Design and Drafting (CADD) to assist with the design and drafting of highway plans. Performs on the survey crew under the direction of the Survey Crew Chief. Assists with materials testing under the direction of the Project Inspector. Assists with quantity calculations. Assists Traffic Services with installation and implementation of traffic control devices. Performs other related job duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
High school graduation or equivalent plus current enrollment in a Civil Technology Associate of Applied Science degree program or Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering program.
Certificates/Licenses Required:
Valid driver's license.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to follow directions. Ability to operate a computer. Ability to use hand tools (hammers, wrenches, etc.). Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Ability to drive a pickup truck.
