We're seeking an AutoCAD Drafter who enjoys the challenge of designing functional, compliant safety layouts for a variety of road and utility projects. As a key part of our small office team, you'll have the autonomy to manage your workflow while collaborating directly with leadership and field supervisors. You'll be responsible for producing high-quality MUTCD-compliant plans that get approved by local agencies across the Las Vegas Valley. Responsibilities Developing Traffic Control Plans (TCPs): Creating detailed layouts for lane closures, work zones, and pedestrian management for various projects.
Site Research:
Utilizing GIS software, Google Earth, and aerial imagery to build accurate base maps of project areas.
Compliance Management:
Ensuring every plan meets state-specific MUTCD.
Permit Coordination:
Submitting plans to city or local agencies for review and making necessary revisions based on their feedback.
Cross-Team Collaboration:
Working with project managers, estimators, and field crews to ensure layouts are practical for real-world use
Essential Skills & Qualifications Software Fluency:
High proficiency in basic AutoCAD (2D) is mandatory.
Blueprint Reading:
The ability to interpret roadway and civil construction plans, including utility maps and parcel data. Attention to
Detail:
Precision is vital, as minor errors in signage or barrier placement can lead to safety risks or project delays Temporary traffic control experience not required but a plus. TTC training provided.
Pay:
$18.00 per hour
