  • Full-time Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Gravel Train Driver and take charge of transporting bulk materials across varied routes with precision and safety.
In this vital role, you will operate heavy-duty tractor-trailers designed for hauling gravel, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all safety and regulatory standards. Your expertise in commercial truck driving, route navigation, and cargo handling will keep our operations running smoothly and efficiently. Duties Safely operate gravel train trucks, including tractor-trailers with various configurations such as flatbeds, tankers, refrigerated trailers, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, and other freight vehicles. Navigate routes using GPS navigation systems to ensure timely and efficient deliveries across multiple sites. Load and unload cargo accurately, following proper manual handling procedures and safety protocols. Comply with all FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations, DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations, and hazardous materials regulations when transporting dangerous goods or hazardous materials. Maintain vehicle inspection logs, report any mechanical issues promptly, and perform routine safety checks before each trip. Load and secure freight properly to prevent shifting or damage during transit; handle logistics cargo with precision. Deliver freight to designated locations while adhering to route schedules; manage delivery documentation meticulously. Operate auxiliary equipment such as forklifts when necessary for loading or unloading cargo safely. Follow all safety procedures related to manual transmission operation, hazardous materials handling, and truck driving regulations to ensure personal safety and compliance. Experience Must be able to back up trailers or willing to learn Proven experience operating commercial trucks such as tractor-trailers, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, or similar heavy-duty vehicles. Demonstrated ability to drive manual transmission trucks confidently over long distances using GPS navigation tools. Prior experience in logistics cargo handling—including load & unload procedures—preferably within a freight or construction environment. Knowledge of FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration), DOT (Department of Transportation), and hazardous materials regulations related to commercial trucking. Delivery driver experience involving route driving across urban or rural areas is highly desirable. Familiarity with operating specialized equipment such as forklifts or tanker trucks is a plus but not mandatory. Strong understanding of safety protocols for manual handling, dangerous goods transportation, and vehicle maintenance standards.
