Summer Train Driver and Guest Services Westlake, OH Job Details Part-time $14 an hour 19 hours ago Qualifications Photography Retail sales transactions Vehicle inspections Guest relations Outdoor work Handling customer inquiries Processing cash transactions Performing regular vehicle safety checks Credit card payment processing Driver's License Stocking Clean workspace maintenance POS systems Communication skills Entry level Cross-functional communication Full Job Description The Summer Train Driver & Guest Services Representative plays a key role in creating fun, memorable, and engaging experiences for guests at Crocker Park throughout the summer season. As part of the Guest Services team, you will operate the Crocker Park Express Train, support Music in the Park performers, assist with event activations, and engage with guests across the property.
Essential Functions:
Guest Engagement & Customer Service Provide excellent customer service while engaging with kids and families. Take photos of families before rides, ensuring sponsor signage is visible. Create a fun, safe, and memorable experience for all riders. Assist at select Crocker Park events, including running the information table and selling gift cards. Seasonal Attraction Operations Operate the Crocker Park Express Train safely (similar to a riding lawn mower). Maintain the train's cleanliness and functionality, including cleaning cars between rides. Perform basic vehicle checks and report issues to the Marketing & Event Assistant. Monitor weather and communicate updates as needed. Keep the surrounding area clean and ensure collateral is stocked in brochure holders. Handle credit card and cash payments through the Clover POS system and maintain accurate cash counts. Must have a valid driver's license and complete a background check prior to hiring. Teamwork & Support Assist Music in the Park entertainers with basic setup and serve as their point of contact. Communicate effectively with the Marketing & Event Assistant to ensure smooth operations. Support fellow staff during busy periods and help resolve guest questions or unexpected situations. Assist at events as needed, including information table duties and gift card sales. Other Demonstrate the company's core values consistently. Complete additional tasks or projects assigned. Skills and Experience Previous guest service, retail, or customer service experience preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a friendly, positive attitude. Energetic, outgoing, and comfortable engaging with children and families. Able to work effectively as part of a team in a busy environment. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability- to remain calm under pressure. Reliable, punctual, and committed to providing excellent service. Ability to stand, walk, and assist guests for extended periods; lift up to 15 lbs; and work indoors/outdoors as needed, including evenings and weekends.
