  • Tailgate Group is seeking new Gameday Operator Mangers that live in the Columbia, SC area to join our team this football season!
If you are a hard worker, don't mind getting a little dirty, and enjoy a college football tailgate atmosphere, this is the part-time/weekend job for you. Ideal candidates must be reliable, hardworking, process good organization skills, and be able to work full weekends. You must also have a clean driving record and understand how to drive a trailer behind a work truck.
  • Must be willing to work full weekends at a time to complete tailgates.
This requires at times consecutive work from Friday to Sunday. Gameday Operator Manager must also be willing to leave town on weekends and travel to contracted tailgate sites. The locations Tailgate Group Gameday Operators will service are Columbia (no overnight travel required), Clemson, Athens, Charlotte, and Atlanta.
Job Responsibilities Include:
Prepping tailgate trailers and tailgate equipment prior to the game weekend. Driving work trucks with trailers attached to the tailgate site. (Some weekends will require travel 2-6 hours of travel total.) Setting tailgate up, turning generators up, getting TVs to work, and setting up tents, tables, and chairs. Greeting customers, making sure customers understand rules of the tailgate. Watch football on TV After the tailgate, clean up equipment, pack it in the trailer, turn off all electronics, lock up trailer, and drive back to storage unit or hotel for the night.
Desired Skills:
Experienced Driver (Able to tow and park a trailer) Team player Organized Effective communicator Ability to work long hours Must have a clean driving record and a valid driver's license Must not be opposed to physical labor and love to work outdoors. Must be able to communicate clearly with clients, guests, vendors, and peers Must be able to lift 50lbs or more Good Organization Skills College Graduate or Attending College Now Sports Minded Person Good Employment History with References Gameday Operator Managers can expect to earn $700
  • $1150 per weekend and work 17-24 hours per tailgate rental (Friday/Saturday/Sunday).
Pay is fixed per location and hourly pay average will range based the amount of time it takes to complete the assigned client group. Some clients tailgate longer than others. Compensation is per tailgate rental not hourly wage. Gameday Operators will know the compensation rates and schedules before the football season starts. Schedules will vary throughout the Fall based on tailgate bookings. On average our Gameday Operators work 6-10 weekends per football season. Please submit appropriate information if interested!
