Position Overview:
Glacial Lakes Energy (GLE), a leader in the corn ethanol industry, is seeking a full-time Grain Operator at our Aberdeen facility . This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working outdoors in all seasons and are eager to learn. No prior experience is required—just bring a great attitude, and we'll provide the training! As a Grain Operator, you will support the day-to-day operations of the grain handling department, including operating the corn dryer, blending and grading grains, and managing the loading and unloading of trucks and railcars for DDGs and ethanol.
About GLE:
Founded in 2001, GLE is a premier South Dakota producer of renewable fuels, employing approximately 180 team members across four ethanol plants located in Watertown, Huron, Aberdeen, and Mina. Key Responsibilities:
Operate corn dryers and support all grain handling processes. Assist in grain blending, grading, and sample retention. Oversee loading and unloading of DDGs and ethanol via truck and rail. Collaborate with producers and transportation personnel. Maintain a safe and compliant work environment.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required. 1-3 years of experience in grain blending or grading preferred, but not required —we provide full training. Experience working with grain producers and transportation personnel is a plus. Must enjoy working outdoors in varying weather conditions. A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn are essential.
