Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Electric Motor Mechanic to join our team! In this vital role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining electric motors in the aerospace and defense field. Your expertise will ensure optimal performance, safety, and reliability of electric motor systems. Duties Diagnose electrical and mechanical issues in electric motors using schematics, testing tools, and diagnostic equipment Repair or replace faulty components such as windings, brushes, bearings, and stators with precision and care Perform routine maintenance on electric motors to prevent future failures and extend service life Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering irons, and other specialized tools to execute repairs efficiently Read and interpret technical schematics and wiring diagrams to ensure accurate troubleshooting and repairs Conduct diesel engine repairs when applicable to auxiliary systems supporting electric motor operation Maintain detailed service records of all repairs performed and parts used for accountability and future reference Ensure all work complies with safety standards and industry regulations while delivering excellent customer service Experience Proven dealership or service technician experience working with electric motors or related machinery Strong background in automotive repair, equipment repair, generator repair, or heavy machinery maintenance Familiarity with schematics, electrical systems, soldering techniques, welding processes, and mechanical troubleshooting Hands-on experience with Caterpillar equipment or similar heavy-duty machinery is highly desirable Knowledge of diesel engine repair combined with electrical expertise enhances versatility in this role Demonstrated ability to lift heavy components safely during maintenance tasks Excellent customer service skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving and communication
