Job Description

Role Summary Based in Sebring, FL, we are looking for a committed Carman Welder Mechanic to support our operations. You will play a vital part in the upkeep and restoration of railcar parts, making sure every piece of equipment functions reliably and safely. We invite candidates who thrive in fast-paced settings and possess a strong background in mechanical and welding work to apply. Key Duties Execute welding and fabrication projects on various railcar assemblies. Perform thorough mechanical assessments to pinpoint equipment malfunctions. Swap out or fix damaged components to help ensure the facility meets all safety standards. Keep detailed documentation regarding all maintenance and repair activities. Work alongside colleagues to help boost overall operational efficiency and workflow. Follow all established safety procedures to contribute to a secure working environment for the entire team. Support the onboarding of incoming staff by sharing your technical knowledge of welding and mechanics. Required Skills and Experience Completion of high school or a GED; a technical credential in mechanics or welding is a plus. Demonstrated history of success in a welder mechanic role, ideally within the rail sector. Comprehensive understanding of various welding methods and the necessary machinery. Solid grasp of mechanical systems and how to diagnose them effectively. Proficiency in analyzing technical diagrams and blueprints. Strong analytical capabilities and a keen eye for precision. Effective interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate well with others. Availability to maintain a flexible schedule, with the capacity to work overtime when required.
