Category Other Type Regular Full-TimeOverview Mechanics perform routine maintenance as well as minor/major repairs of ground equipment and automobiles. Repairs are made indoors in a garage or outdoors on the ramp.
Responsibilities include:
repairing and overhauling ground support equipment, performing troubleshooting of ground support equipment, maintaining equipment in a safe condition, performs preventative and routine maintenance servicing, keeping tools and support equipment in safe and operational working conditions, keeping work areas clean and free of hazards. Backyard mechanics are welcome. However, must be able to explain your ability to get the job done. Responsibilities Determines vehicle condition, performs inspections, and conducts diagnostic tests Repair Ground Service Equipment (GSE) Diagnose GSE Welding Equipment restoration Engine and transmission replacement • Communicate with Parts Department to obtain parts Documentation of work performed Understand and follow federal, state, and local regulations such as disposal of hazardous wastes Qualifications High school Diploma or GED equivalent At least 18 years of age Valid driver's license and clean abstract Flexible schedule including weekends and/or holidays preferred Authorized to work in the U.S. Must pass pre-employment drug-test Must be able to obtain an AOA Badge and other airport requirements Must be able to work in a team-oriented environment
