Job Requirements Naval Air New Orleans, LA Secret Polygraph not specified Mid Level Career (5+ yrs experience) $80,000 - $90,000 Job Description Assembles, disassembles and/or modifies systems by changing, removing, replacing or upgrading aerospace vehicle components to correct failures or implement changes. Oversees assembly, disassembly or overhaul. Configures aerospace vehicles and bench test equipment. Troubleshoots complex pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical systems to isolate mechanical or electrical faults and repair faulty components. Performs validation/verification testing of systems and components. Documents procedures and established processes to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance (e.g., repairs, test results, applicable modifications and inspection results). Inspects components and verifies repairs for flight worthiness requirements. Oversees training. Works under general direction. Works under general direction Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): Minimum of 5 years of experience in military fighter aircraft maintenance Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds Minimum of 1 year of experience in reading and interpreting technical publications and/or maintenance manuals Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Must be able to work outdoors under all types of weather conditions (Humidity/High temperatures) with exposure to loud noise and exhaust fumes F-18 (AM or AD) Qualifications Prior experience with Navy 4790.2 requirements, is preferred Applicable and appropriate educational/certification credentials from an accredited institution and/or equivalent experience is required.
