PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
As a Coordinator Crew Resources, you will work with Trainmen, Switchmen, Engineers, and Yardmasters to ensure they are given appropriate work assignments while ensuring timely and cost-effective deployment of crews to meet operational requirements.
POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES
Call train and engine crews to work in accordance with collective bargaining agreement Process reports and maintain computerized crew board through documentation of seniority moves vacancies, personal leave and vacations Make business decisions based on priorities established by the Operations Centre (OC) Maintain Crew Management Application records Monitor Train & Engine (T&E) maximum hour clock and mandatory time on duty and rest rules Accountable for the proficient handling of other related tasks as required
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or general equivalency Knowledge of computer programs and software (Microsoft Office) and able to meet keyboarding standards established by the organization Clear verbal and written communication skills Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment while paying attention to details and managing time efficiently This position is staffed 24 hours per day, 7 days a week, therefore shift work and weekend work are required Ability to be flexible with changing work schedules

BECOMING A RAILROADER

Management Conductor Program Becoming a qualified conductor or locomotive engineer is the single best way for a management employee to learn the business at CPKC. You may be required to obtain a certification or to maintain your current certification/qualification as a conductor or locomotive engineer.
