Description SEACORP is seeking a well-qualified Engineering Technician III. Primary Duties and Responsibilities Job Summary SEACORP's Training Systems Business Area is seeking an Engineering Technician to maintain critical training systems for teaching firefighting and other skills to submarine personnel. Qualified candidates will have the following skills Ability to work with mechanical tools such as wrenches, hammers and specialty tools, etc. and power tools such as drills, grinders and saws, etc. Knowledge of Corrosion Control (Paint and Preservation). Ability to work with firefighting gear and damage control gear such as fire hoses and extinguishers and perform periodical maintenance of that gear to include operational testing. Ability to work with Air Compressors and Pneumatic Equipment. This consists of high-pressure systems up to 6000 psi, such as the Bauer HPAC filling up Air Banks utilized for refilling SCBA Firefighting Bottles. Perform air sample tests with breathing air, log results, and retrieve data. Job Responsibilities Include Perform preventative maintenance using Maintenance Requirement Cards (MRC). Execute startup procedures to prepare the trainer for operation utilizing Ready for Training (RFT) checklists, execute shutdown procedures, and perform troubleshooting utilizing technical manuals and schematics. Maintain Inventory of parts, retrieve quotes, order parts and perform shipping. Work with local service suppliers for special maintenance needs. Effectivelymunicate with other team members, supervisor and Military Active-Duty Personnel, providing the latest updates and status. Track the training schedule and deconflict with the maintenance schedule. Qualifications Education Technical School Diploma or Navy Training. Experience 3 years of experience. Ideal Skills and Experience Hull, Mechanical & Electrical Maintenance (HM&E) Quality Assurance (QA) Testing, Measuring, Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE) Occupational Safety (OSHA) As a requirement of employment, all SEACORP employees must hold U.S. Citizenship Location Guam Travel None Clearance Secret Work Environment & Physical Demands Office & Computer Laboratories - Sitting, standing, extended periods of time using a mouse and keyboard and viewingputer screens.
