Job Description

About North American Landscape North American Lawn and Landscape is a Charlotte-based commercial landscaping company with over 40 years of experience serving developers and property management professionals. We specialize in landscape maintenance, design and installation, irrigation, and stormwater management, with offices in Charlotte, Raleigh, Greensboro, and Savannah. We are currently seeking a SCM Technician to join our team and support the continued delivery of high-quality service across our properties. Key Responsibilities Support the direction of operations for the SCM Division. Report at 6:30 AM, review daily work, and prepare crew for assignments. Lead by example as the first to arrive and last to leave each day. Assist with loading and securing all tools and equipment. Drivers conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure equipment is in proper working condition. Perform and oversee SCM pond maintenance to maintain regulatory compliance. Communicate ongoing issues to operations management in a timely manner. Provide on-the-job training for crew members in safety, equipment uses, and techniques. Coach team members and track development progress. Review upcoming jobs and prepare daily work plans. Maintain vehicles and equipment including fueling, cleaning, and loading. Report damaged equipment immediately for repair and parts ordering. Perform mowing, blowing, and pond maintenance functions in accordance with job requirements. What Sets You Apart Ability to perform manual labor in all weather conditions, including lifting, bending, and standing for long periods. Demonstrates a strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail. 2 + years of job experience (preferred). High school diploma or equivalent (preferred). Valid driver's license (preferred). Must maintain a clean driving record or a motor vehicle record that meets company insurance standards.

Must pass a drug screen. Spanish-speaking skills are a plus. Pesticide license preferred; SCM inspection and maintenance certification preferred. Performance Skills and Qualifications Ability to lift 50 to 100 pounds consistently throughout the day. High attention to detail, focused on quality and completeness of work. Ability to work in high-pressure environments while maintaining composure. Availability to work a varied schedule including Saturdays and in adverse weather conditions. Work Environment Employees in this role regularly work outdoors and are exposed to moving mechanical parts, extreme weather conditions, fumes or airborne particles, vibration, and loud noise.
