Job Description

Job Overview A Master Engine Builder is responsible for the complete assembly, and optimization of high-performance racing engines, ensuring maximum reliability, and consistency under extreme conditions, working primarily with domestic V-8 pushrod style engines. Core Responsibilities Build and assemble high-performance racing engines to precise specifications and tolerances Perform detailed measurements using precision tools (micrometers, bore gauges, dial indicators, etc.) Interpret engine build sheets, technical drawings, and performance specifications Ensure all components meet strict quality and performance standards prior to assembly Engine Development & Performance Familiar with measurement and final set-up of pre-assembly metrics such as cam timing, rocker geometry, bearing clearances, fitting of ring•end gaps, etc. Generally familiar with professional engine shop machinery equipment and practices. Ability and willingness to work off-site at customer's facilities or race tracks to service engines, ie; adjust valves, check walve springs, and general engine condition inspections. Diagnostics & Problem Solving Diagnose engine wear patterns and determine root causes (mechanical, thermal, or tuning-related) Tear down and inspect engines after races or dyno sessions Maintain and service engines during dyno session testing. Inventory & Equipment Management Maintain and calibrate tools, equipment, and dyno systems Ensure compliance with safety standards and proper tool usage Must be willing to assist team with on-going shop maintenance and cleaniness efforts
Qualifications :
•Must be able to lift, carry and comfortably work with 75 pounds•Must be familiar with measurement tools and working +•.0001 tolerances
Pay:
$30.00•$45.00 per hour
