Rail Vehicle Maintenance Location:
Southern New Jersey (with occasional travel to Northern NJ corporate office)

Must be flexible to work various shifts, overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed Senior Technician Opportunity We are seeking an experienced Senior Technician to join a growing rail vehicle maintenance team in Southern New Jersey. This Senior Technician position is ideal for a skilled maintenance professional with strong electrical, mechanical, and troubleshooting experience who is looking for a long-term career opportunity in the transportation industry. The ideal Senior Technician will possess advanced diagnostic and repair skills, experience working with electrical and electronic systems, and the ability to mentor and support junior technicians. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on Senior Technician seeking a leadership-focused role with long-term stability and career growth. Senior Technician Responsibilities Perform inspections, diagnostics, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs on light rail vehicles and related systems. Troubleshoot and repair electrical and electronic components down to the circuit board level. Train, mentor, and support junior technicians while promoting best maintenance practices. Operate specialized shop tools, diagnostic equipment, testing devices, and vendor software applications. Document maintenance activities, testing results, and diagnostic information within the maintenance management system. Assist with accident investigations, incident reviews, and corrective action implementation. Respond to rail vehicle service calls, emergency repairs, and rescue situations as needed. Read and interpret technical manuals, electrical schematics, hydraulic diagrams, pneumatic schematics, and parts catalogs. Ensure compliance with all company policies, safety regulations, and maintenance procedures. Serve as Acting Supervisor when required and assist with daily operational oversight. Recommend process improvements to enhance maintenance efficiency and reliability. Perform additional duties as assigned. Senior Technician Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum of two (2) years of related maintenance experience required. Experience working as a Maintenance Technician, Diesel Technician, Rail Technician, Electrical Technician, Fleet Technician, Heavy Equipment Technician, or Automotive Technician strongly preferred. Diesel engine maintenance experience is a plus. Strong ability to read and interpret hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical schematics. Advanced troubleshooting and diagnostic skills. Experience working with electrical and electronic systems, including circuit board-level troubleshooting. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent organizational, time management, and teamwork abilities. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical activities including bending, kneeling, squatting, and standing for extended periods. Must be willing to work flexible schedules, including overtime, weekends, holidays, and various shifts. Why Join Us?
