Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Welder Mechanic Carman to join our team in Demming, NM, 88030. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining and repairing our fleet, ensuring that our operations run smoothly and efficiently. Responsibilities Perform welding and fabrication tasks on various components and structures. Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on rail cars and related equipment. Diagnose mechanical issues and implement effective solutions. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies. Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used. Collaborate with team members to improve processes and efficiency. Assist in training new employees on welding and mechanical practices. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in welding or mechanics preferred. Proven experience as a welder and mechanic, preferably in a rail or automotive environment. Strong knowledge of welding techniques and mechanical systems. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and teamwork abilities. Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.
