Rail Inspector / Maintenance Tech

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform monthly track inspections at SRTN, SRTS, and NCT Perform bi-annual track inspection at Chester Terminal Manage track repair priority list and communicate repair needs to Management for OPEX spend prioritization Schedule track maintenance with Contractors and verify work completed per KM expectations Enter track inspection and maintenance repair documentation in Maximo Issue work permits to Contractors for rail track and rail car maintenance Coordinate daily rail switching operations between (3) locomotive crews to ensure safe and efficient operations on shared rail track Assist Operations with liquid and bulk product loading and unloading of railcars as needed Assist Operations with locomotive operations for rail switching as needed Periodically inspect hazmat rail cars for proper placards, test dates, safety appliances, damage and defects Perform periodic rail safety training to Operators Ensure proper positive track inspection is in place per terminal procedures Support Management with rail-related incident investigations and corrective actions All other duties as assigned
